The State Tax Service is ready to undertake to subject to inspections only companies with an annual turnover of at least 50 million euros if the Cabinet of Ministers lifts the moratorium on tax audits of businesses during quarantine.
This was reported by the head of the department, Oleksiy Lyubchenko, in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine. “I can undertake not to issue less than 50 million euros, except for risky ones. This is my personal position. I emphasize except for risky ones,” he said.
According to him, since March 2020, when the quarantine began, the tax service has stopped 353 scheduled audits of taxpayers for a total risk of tax non-payment of UAH 39 billion. In addition, documentary unscheduled audits of unreal transactions remain unprocessed. There is a possible scheme tax credit of UAH 1.8 billion. There are also documentary unscheduled audits: if tax information indicates a violation of currency legislation by the payer. There are almost 2.6 thousand notifications from the NBU for 1.1 thousand entities of foreign economic activity, “- said Lyubchenko. However, the State Tax Service is preparing with all its might to resume inspections, since now the Cabinet of Ministers has been legally given the right to lift these restrictions. “812 inspections are planned for November-December 2020 for a total amount of risks of over 5 billion UAH,” Lyubchenko added.
